First electrical domain solution to extend 5G network reach and capacity
RangeXtenderTM is a 25 Gbps DWDM SFP28 based on Point2 EDC SoC that extends the reach of 5G X-Haul to 40Km in a cost effective manner.

Previous optical domain solution → Expensive and Impractical!
- Chirp-managed laser(CML) with optical spectrum reshape (OSR) filter
- Dispersion compensation fiber (DCF)
Ours is the first electrical domain solution Reach/data rate-extension and Cost-reduction
- Nonlinear electronic dispersion compensator (EDC)
Point2’s EDC technology

NRZ-EDC
The PT-E1012322 is an integrated bi-directional CDR with electronic dispersion compensation for SFP28 in 5G mobile network applications. Effective EDC function extends the reach of the fiber length up to 40Km. It is used in combination with linear ROSA and can greatly compensate for a distorted signal. It supports differential AC-coupled signaling with integrated differential 100ohm terminations at RX and TX side, and it operates at 1.8V for I/O interface and 0.9V for core power supply. The PT-E1012322 is available in RoHS and Green compliant 64-ball 3.8mm x 3.8mm x1.0mm flip chip Chip-Scale Package (fcCSP).

NRZ-PAM4
The PT-NP1012222 is an integrated, two-lane, bidirectional NRZ to PAM4 converter CDR for a 5G mobile network application. Its effective NRZ-to-PAM4 conversion function can extend the reach of the fiber length up to 40km with low-cost Directly Modulated Laser (DML) or EML transmitter Optical Subassembly Array (TOSA). It is used with a linear ROSA that maintains the linearity of the input signal. Programmable, per-lane, 25GBd-NRZ to 12.5GBd-PAM4 conversion is supported. It supports differential AC-coupled signaling with integrated differential 100 ohm terminations at RX and TX side, and it operates at 1.8V for I/O interface and 0.9V for core power supply. The PT-NP1012222 is available in RoHS and Green compliant 64-ball 3.8mm x 3.8mm x 1.0mm flip chip Chip-Scale Package (fcCSP).
